As part of the ASTRO Refresher Course, this session will focus on new data and a treatment paradigm for patients with central nervous system tumors. Gliomas, brain metastases and common benign tumors will be covered.

As patients with metastatic disease are enjoying improved survival, brain metastases are an increasing problem. Technologic advances as well as emerging evidence suggests that the indications for radiosurgery are increasing, and can be performed without threatening quality of life.
