A  Multi-Institutional Prospective Observational Study of Stereotactic  Radiosurgery for Patients with Multiple Brain Metastases (JLGK0901 Study  Update): Irradiation-Related Complications and Long-Term Maintenance of  Mini-Mental State Examination Scores

IJROBP Journal SA-CME activity for September 1, 2017 (Volume 99, Issue 1) explores the clinical sequelae of intracranial stereotactic radiosurgery in the treatment of oligometastatic disease (4 or fewer foci) vs. more diffuse disease (5-10  foci).   It remains unclear whether the cumulative high-dose radiation for multiple intracranial targets leads to a decline in neurocognitive function and other radiation-related toxicities.
