Gynecologic
This session will review diagnosis, staging, and treatment of uterine and cervical cancers, including surgery, systemic therapy, and radiation therapy. Focusing on radiation therapy, we will go through specific indications for radiation therapy. We will also review specific techniques and doses that are required to treat patients with uterine and cervical cancers.
Target Audience
The meeting is designed to meet the interests of practicing radiation oncologists, radiation oncology residents, medical and clinical physicists, radiation therapists, radiation dosimetrists, nurses and all other health professionals involved in the field of radiation oncology.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to do the following:
- Describe the indications for radiation therapy for uterine and cervical cancer.
- Describe the indications for both surgery and systemic therapy for uterine and cervical cancer.
- Identify the best radiation techniques and doses for uterine and cervical cancer.
