ASTRO ROCKS: Navigating Industry Investigator-Initiated Trials
This Research-Oriented Career Knowledge and Support (ROCKS) web session discusses investigator-initiated clinical trials in radiation oncology, from concept development to submission and review, to contract and implementation. We focus on industry-sponsored trials in this session. A brief presentation from each panelist will be followed by a moderated Q&A.

Target Audience
This session is open to all but particularly relevant to academic radiation oncologists with clinical research focus, as well as medical residents.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Describe the process for proposal, application, and review of investigator-initiated trials (IITs).
- Discuss the potential pitfalls and challenges of IITs.
- Explain the main aspects of implementation of IITs.
