Special Radiation Techniques in Sarcoma Management
There are many ongoing advances in the context of radiation therapy delivery for patients with primary soft tissue sarcoma of the extremity/trunk with emerging practice-changing clinical research and new treatment options, some of which are not yet standard of care. Failure to stay informed leads to lower quality of care by practicing clinicians.
This webinar presents new approaches in management of sarcoma using radiation therapy, including novel fractionation schedules, hypofractionation, novel dose strategies and novel combinations with systemic therapy.
Target Audience
This activity is designed to meet the interests of radiation oncologists, medical oncologists, physicists, radiation biologists, dosimetrists, radiation therapists, surgeons and residents.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to do the following:
- Understand standard versus non-standard radiation treatments for primary extremity/trunk sarcoma.
- Understand emerging hypofractionation treatments for primary extremity/trunk sarcoma.
- Utilize emerging radiation and immunotherapy combinations for primary extremity/trunk sarcoma.
