Sexuality After Cancer Therapy
Patient fertility and sexual complications have few data available from clinical trials. It is noteworthy that the subject is infrequently discussed in institutional peer reviews/ M&M unless there is a Risk Management overlay.
There is no doubt that radiation and other cancer therapies may significantly affect subsequent aspects of patient sexual health. We rarely discuss these in an academic setting this for several reasons, not the least of which is potential discomfort with the topic. This panel discusses extant PRO and other data for breast, prostate, penile and cervical cancers.
Topics:
- Sexuality After ADT for Prostate Cancer
Brian D. Gonzalez, PhD - Understanding Sexual Health Effects After Radiation for Cervical Cancer
Akila N. Viswanathan, MD, MPH, FASTRO - Breast Cancer and Sexuality After Cancer Therapy
Maryam B. Lustberg, MD, MPH - Sexuality After Cancer Therapy for Penile Cancer
Irini Yacoub, MD - Q and A
Peter A.S. Johnstone, MD, FASTRO - Moderator
