Sarcomas
This session reviews the literature for key aspects of soft tissue sarcoma management in adults. The goal is to provide evidence base to guide clinicians on practice for management of these rare tumors.
Target Audience
The meeting is designed to meet the interests of practicing radiation oncologists, radiation oncology residents, medical and clinical physicists, radiation therapists, radiation dosimetrists, nurses and all other health professionals involved in the field of radiation oncology.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to do the following:
- Understand the rationale for combined modality local therapy for soft tissue sarcomas.
- Understand the risk and benefits of preoperative vs. postoperative RT and radiotherapy planning considerations for both.
- Understand the current state of the data regarding hypofractionation for STS.
