Pediatric Brain Tumors - 2017

This will be a new version of the well-received Pediatric Brain Tumor Refresher course. The speakers will cover current recommendations for the management of ependymoma, non germinomatous germ cell tumors and medulloblastoma. They will review appropriate contouring of tumor volumes, normal structures and dose constraints. They will discuss the recent trials in these tumors and the resulting changes in management.

Target Audience

This continuing medical education activity is designed to meet the interests of radiation oncologists, radiation oncology residents, radiation biologists, radiation physicists, dosimetrists, oncologists working in related specialties, radiation therapists, radiation oncology nurses, radiation oncology administrators, diagnostic radiologists and all other health professionals involved in the field of radiation oncology.

Learning Objectives

After this session, attendees should be able to:

  • Identify and contour CNS normal structures.
  • Apply the standard-of-care and latest updates in RT delivery for pediatrics CNS cancers.
  • Learn the most recent molecular findings in pediatrics CNS cancer.
