Gynecologic: Endometrial and Cervical
This session review the indications for radiation therapy for endometrial and cervical cancer, the indications for surgery and systemic therapy for endometrial and cervical cancer, as well as describe the ideal radiation techniques and doses for endometrial and cervical cancer.
Target Audience
The meeting is designed to meet the interests of practicing radiation oncologists, radiation oncology residents, medical and clinical physicists, radiation therapists, radiation dosimetrists, nurses and all other health professionals involved in the field of radiation oncology.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to do the following:
- Identify patients that qualify for definitive or post-operative radiation for cervical or endometrial cancers.
- Discuss with surgical and hematologic/oncology colleagues the optimal surgery or systemic therapy for your patients, and how they should be used in conjunction with radiation.
- Use the correct radiation techniques and doses for radiation for patients with cervical and endometrial cancer, including choosing correct brachytherapy applicators.
