Seismic changes are rattling the Medicare physician payment world, and radiation oncologists must immediately adapt or face serious payment penalties under the new Quality Payment Program (QPP). This session will explain the basics of the QPP from experts on the program along with information and available resources to help radiation oncologists avoid penalties and get paid more under the program. The session will highlight new quality improvement and patient safety initiatives, including ASTRO resources, as well as alternative payment models that will help radiation oncologists drive more value-based cancer care while complying with the complex program requirements.

Target Audience

This continuing medical education activity is designed to meet the interests of radiation oncologists, radiation oncology residents, radiation biologists, radiation physicists, dosimetrists, oncologists working in related specialties, radiation therapists, radiation oncology nurses, radiation oncology administrators, diagnostic radiologists and all other health professionals involved in the field of radiation oncology.
