Adaptive Radiotherapy
This session delves into the clinical rationale and workflows behind adaptive radiotherapy, review existing clinical evidence supporting its use, and discuss patient selection criteria. The key current pillars of adaptive radiotherapy are reviewed, including rationales like dose escalation, toxicity reduction, margin reduction, and safe delivery of extreme hypofractionation.
Attendees will gain insights into how adaptive RT fits within the broader radiotherapy treatment paradigm, including understanding of ongoing clinical trials that may further refine treatment strategies. Additionally, the session addresses challenges such as technology selection, training and staffing, workflow optimization, and emerging future uses of this novel, but increasingly common, treatment paradigm.
