Access to Therapy and Addressing Unmet Needs
Increasing access and addressing unmet needs are critical to the continued growth and adoption of radiopharmaceutical therapy. This session summarizes the current barriers to access and discuss solutions to increase physician and patient access to these important therapies. Major unmet needs are defined and solutions discussed. Solutions that involve multidisciplinary approaches at academic and community-based centers are highlighted.
Target Audience
This meeting was designed to meet the interests of medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, physicists, nurses, diagnostic radiologists, radiation therapists, radiation dosimetrists, specialists, nuclear physicians and practice administrators.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to do the following:
- Plan and implement solutions to increase access to radiopharmaceutical therapy at your center.
- Engage and collaborate with colleagues, hospital leadership, cooperative groups, professional societies and industry on solutions needed to address the unmet needs in radiopharmaceutical therapy.
